What is EQUICURE
enriched poultice?
The Equicure enriched poultice is a treatment for muscles,
tendons and joints in horses.
It has been designed and formulated from very high
quality green clay containing a strong concentration
of mineral salts and trace - elements.
To reinforce the effectiveness of our poultice, we
have added natural plant extracts of Harpagophtyum and
Siberian ginseng which encourage the recuperation process.

Latin name: Harpagophytum procumbens
Order: Lamiales
Family : Pedaliaceae
Habitat : Mainly found in the eastern
and south eastern parts of Namibia, Southern
Botwswana and the Kalahari region of the Northern
Cape, South Africa.
Part of the plant used:
secondary root tubers
Harpagophytum reduces
articular, muscle and tendon pain caused
by exertion.

Siberian Ginseng assists
physical effort, increases resistance
capacity and improves recuperation after
exertion.

How
should EQUICURE enriched poultice be used ?
By a local application of a thick layer (at least
1 cm) on the coat on the affected areas (tendons,
muscles and joints) which has been previously
wetted. Leave on from 2 hours to a night according
to the degree of tiredness of the animal..
To stop the plaster drying out too quickly, bind
it, without squeezing the dressing, with very
damp gauze or fine linen, then bandage altogether.
