When should
EQUICURE BIOREGULATOR be used ?
The digestion in Horse is a complex and
delicate process that can be disrupted by
the environment and the modern management
of the Horses: stress, feeding, antibiotic
therapy, deworming, ...
EQUICURE BIOREGULATOR should be used each
time that the digestive balance is (or coul
be) disturbed :
- Digestive disorders (colic, diarrhea,
...)
- Before stress (travel, competition,
...)
- Antibiotic therapy, deworming
- After the birth
- During the reproduction period
- To help the recuperation after exertion.
What
are the properties of EQUICURE BIOREGULATOR
?
- EQUICURE BIOREGULATOR supports the digestion
process in the small intestine thanks
to its enzymatic compounds (amylases,
proteases, cellulases, lipases, ...).
- EQUICURE BIOREGULATOR restore and reinforce
the growth of the lactic microflora taking
part in digestion. Live lactic bacteria
were selected with care (naturally occuring
bacteria, resistant to the acidity of
the stomach and to the digestive enzymes).
They help to the microbial digestion in
the large intestine. Alive, they are useful
without delay.
- EQUICURE BIOREGULATOR efficiently complete
the alimentation. The nutriment complex
(amino acid, glucide, trace elements,...)
is directly assimilated by the horse.
- EQUICURE BIOREGULATOR prevents colic,
diarrhea and digestive disorders

The digestion
of the Horse
The horse is a
nonruminant herbivore. Nonruminant
means that horses have a simple
stomach. Herbivore means that horses
live on a diet of plant material.
The natural feeding
habit of the horse is to eat small
amounts of roughages often.
The equine digestive
system includes the mouth, the oesophagus,
the stomach, the small intestine
and the large intestine.
The digestion starts
in the mouth where the food are
chewed and mixed with salive.
In the stomach,
food is mixed with pepsin (an enzyme)
to digest proteins and hydrochloric
acid to help break down solid particules.
the rate of passage of food through
the stomach is variable (8 - 24
h) depending on how the horse is
fed (size and composition of the
meal).
Small intestine
is the major organ of the digestion
of the horse: pancreatic enzymes,
proteases and carbohydrases digest
protein and sugars. Bile from liver
is also added to emulsify fats.
Only 30 to 60 minutes are needed
for food to pass through the small
intestine.
Feed that was not
digested in the small intestine,
particulary fibrous feeds (hay and
pasture) is break down by microbes
in cecum and colon. Feed remain
for about 24 - 48 hours in the cecum
and colon. Microbial fermentation
in the cecum and the colon results
in the production of volatile fatty
acids which are important nutriment
source for the horse. The cecum
and the colon also serve as a reservoir
of water and electrolytes which
are vital to maintain exercise performance.

What
are the advantages of
EQUICURE BIOREGULATOR?
- An effective product: By optimizing
the digestive balance, EQUICURE BIOREGULATOR
improves the overall good health of the
horse. Quieter; less stressed, it benefits
entirely from its food.
- An easy to use product: the oral syringe
packaging is designed to be easily swallowed
by the animal, without dilution, nor particular
manipulation.
- A non-doping product : EQUICURE
BIOREGULATOR doesn't show up positive
in the animal during a doping test and
can therefore be used in competition.
